MTIG Co., Ltd. participated in the '2017 Korea Invention Patent Exhibition' (organized by the Korean Intellectual Property Office and hosted by the Korean Invention Promotion Association) held at COEX in Seoul from November 30 (Thursday) to December 3 (Sunday) and introduced its powder injection molding method.

MTIG has obtained a patent for its titanium powder injection molding method, which enables the development, manufacturing, and sales of titanium components and dental implant parts. This method allows titanium components and dental implants to be sold at half the price of existing products. Despite having a purity of over 99.5% Ti325-800 mesh, MTIG's titanium powder injection molded products are competitively priced and of high quality, comparable to stainless steel processed parts, thanks to an automated mass production system.

The company has also received various certifications for its technology, including the standard biocompatibility tests (including animal implantation tests) from the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety, the 'NET: New Excellent Technology' certification, ROHS certification, and passing the U.S. dry cleaning test.

As China currently holds a monopolistic position in the titanium processing parts market due to low labor costs, the automated mass production process developed by MTIG is expected to gradually increase the market share in Korea.
